The aim of Brighton Dogwatch is to help and support our local dog community. This includes reuniting lost and stolen dogs as well as sharing local information, movement of livestock, legislation, events and appeals for re-homing rescue dogs. Our top tips:
- Microchip (it’s now a legal requirement) and keep your details up to date.
- Pre-register your dog on doglost.co.uk. It is free and if your dog is lost this will save you vital time giving descriptions and photographs. Brighton Dogwatch can take information from doglost.co.uk and share widely.
- Keep an identification tag on your dog (also a legal requirement) which makes your dog far easier to reunite if they get lost.
- Take some photos of your dog and keep on your phone should you ever need to spread the word when they are missing. Clear photos from the front and sides are best.
